October 2012 Update

Dear friends/partners,

We thank you for your support and prayer for Psalm 67 Missions Network. We desire to keep you informed and ask that you please continue to pray for us as we seek to partner together with others that the Gospel might be proclaimed in all the Earth.

Missions Meetings
Beginning in September, a group of people have been meeting together along with some leaders from our "home" congregation, Rockport Baptist Church. Along with other goals, we have sought in these meetings, to prayerfully labor together in order to lay the framework for the Gospel to be sent out through the work of missionaries, in both short and long term appointments. Our next meeting is November 12, 2012. Some of the items discussed during this most recent meeting include: the approval of our missions statement, appointment of a budget workgroup, discussion of training needs, and upcoming opportunities.

Missions Statement
Speaking of Missions statement, the following statement was updated and approved at our meeting on October 15, 2012:

By God's mercy and blessing on His people, Psalm 67 Missions Network seeks to assist the church in making Christ known among the nations by making disciples in word and in deed to the praise and glory of His grace.

In future posts, we hope to explain exactly how we believe The Lord will use us and those who partner with us to work together toward this goal.
